Student Ministry
Our Lake Shore Students is a program for 6th - 12th graders and meets on Sunday morning and Wednesday evening.
Your student will enjoy a welcoming environment where they can grow in their knowledge about the Gospel, while building life long relationships.
Making Disciples
Lake Shore Students engage in worship with a student/adult led praise team, group discipleship lessons, breakout discussion groups, group outings and meals, as well as multiple other events including Disciple Now and summer camp.
Our leaders are also committed to creating leaders within our student group by encouraging students to take on leadership roles, as well as through mentorship opportunities.
Mobilizing Disciples
Lake Shore Students will have opportunities to mobilize within and outside the church building. Volunteer opportunities within the church include things like: praise and worship band, assisting with Lake Shore Kids events, such as VBS, and various other programs.
Our leaders are always looking for opportunities for our students to serve outside the church as well. These events will be shared as they arise throughout the year.

Fall Semester - First Day: Wednesday, September 16th - Last Day: Thursday, December 10th
Spring Semester: First Day: Wednesday, January 13th - Last Day: Thursday, May 13th
At this time, the EMS After School Program will be open Wednesdays and Thursdays from 4:00–6:00 PM at Lake Shore Baptist Church.
Please note that this is different from last year, when the program was open Monday–Thursday. For now, we will only meet on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
What Will Wednesdays Look Like?
Wednesdays will be a little more structured and will serve as our dedicated Student Ministry time for our middle school students. Our Student Pastor, Gabe Ward, will spend intentional time building relationships with the students through games, activities, and a short Bible study.
Wednesday Schedule:
4:05–4:30 PM — Snack & Hangout
Students can grab a snack, relax, and spend time with friends.
4:30–5:20 PM — Games, Activities & Bible Study
Gabe will lead the students in a fun, engaging time together that includes games and activities followed by a short Bible study.
5:30 PM — Pizza for ALL Students
Thursdays
Thursdays will look more like the traditional EMS After School Program our students are familiar with—a relaxed environment where they can enjoy a snack, hang out with friends, play games, work on homework, and spend time with our volunteers.
We are so excited to welcome our EMS students back! This program is about much more than providing a place to go after school. It gives us the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with students, encourage them, and create a safe and welcoming community for them each week.
*Students who are not walking home must be picked up by 6:00pm. Please coordinate with your student if/when they are coming each day. We had many students last year have to call for rides and their parents/guardians weren’t aware that they had come to the church.

**We will follow the Lake Dallas ISD School Calendar. If they are closed on a particular Wednesday or Thursday, our program will not be open those days. This includes scheduled days off from school and also any inclement weather days.
